Betty Lahiri said last fall she planned to close The Party House — Fayetteville’s longstanding go-to spot for party supplies, jewelry, accessories, and all manner of fraternity and sorority items — because she planned to retire and couldn’t find a suitable buyer.

Not so fast.

Amy Lindsey not only has agreed to undisclosed terms to buy the store, but is moving it in advance of a targeted April 11 opening date. TPH will be located in space at Singletree Plaza, near Walker Brothers on Millsap Road.

Lindsey said she’ll keep many of the staples Lahiri featured, including an array of candies and fraternity and sorority items. She also plans to sell more home décor items and other “unique” gifts.

Lindsey’s partner in the venture is Fayetteville dentist Dr. Rebecca Lucke.
