Baldwin & Shell Construction Company of Rogers recently purchased a building permit valued at $3.08 million.

The permit is for the construction of the 2,800-SF J.B. Hunt Memorial Chapel, which will rest on a 21-acre property at 5808 Mt. Hebron Road. The address is at the corner of Mt. Hebron Road and Wallis Road in southwest Rogers.

Construction began in mid-February. NEC Inc. of Rogers is performing the dirt work.

Walter Jennings, with Maurice Jennings Architect of Fayetteville, is the architect. Daniel Ellis, with Crafton Tull of Rogers, is the civil engineer.

Marrs Electric Inc. of Springdale is the electrical contractor. Fayetteville Mechanical of Fayetteville is the mechanical contractor.

The one-story chapel and adjoining perpetual care cemetery, Pinnacle Hills Memorial Gardens, will be complete by summer 2012. It will raise the number of perpetual care cemeteries in Arkansas to 98.

The facility will be a public cemetery but privately owned by Pinnacle Hills Memorial Gardens LLC, led by Johnelle Hunt.

The cemetery will include a mausoleum and be gated and fenced.

Flint Creek Development LLC, led by Doug Allen, Mont Sagely and Doug Sagely, was the previous owner of the 21-acre piece of land. The property changed hands in July 2007 in a $1.8 million deal.

The property last appraised in 2008 for $882,000.

Lined Up On Lexus

Jeff Roth, through his ADR Homes by Roth of Bentonville, has purchased four building permits valued at a combined $1.0 million to build four single-family homes in the Embry Acres subdivision in Fayetteville. The subdivision is near George Anderson Road in the northeast part of the city.

The homes, all one-story floor plans, will be in the 3,000- to 3,300-SF range. The lots are at 3747, 3755, 3772 and 3796 East Lexus Drive. Roth has previously built several homes in Embry Acres.

The houses will be priced to sell between $260,000 and $280,000, and should be completed by mid-June.

Each home will have four bedrooms, a three-car garage and either 2.5 or three bathrooms.

Each home will have two fireplaces — a gas log fireplace in the living room and a remote-controlled electric fireplace in the master bedroom.

Toni Farmer of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette is the exclusive listing agent for ADR Homes by Roth properties.
