Benton and Washington counties have four homes currently on the market with an asking price of at least $4 million, according to the Northwest Arkansas Multiple Listing Service.

The most expensive property, at 19713 Pummill Rd., in Fayetteville, checks in at $5.37 million.

The 5,194-SF lodge — with a postal address of Fayetteville but actually situated just south of Durham in southern Washington County — sits on 1,380 acres and was built in 2000. Kyle Patillo of Lindsey & Associates is the listing agent. It has been listed since January.

Of the 10 most expensive homes in the area, only three were among the top 10 at this time last year.

The residence at 1462 N. Hunter Dr. in east Fayetteville topped last year’s list with an asking price of $4 million. It currently is the seventh-most expensive home, drastically reduced to a listing price of $2.52 million. Meza Harris was the listing agent last year. It has been listed since January with Brad Bruns. Both are agents with Lindsey & Associates.

The 6,740-SF estate was built in 2002 and previously belonged to Fayetteville entrepreneur and Athletic World Advertising founder Gregg Ogden, who died in August 2007. Ogden often used his home as an entertainment venue for charitable events through the University of Arkansas, Walton Arts Center, AWA and other useful community causes.

The home at No. 8 on the list — 0 East Fayetteville Ln. — belongs to University of Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino. The six-bedroom home built in 2007 has been listed since May 2010.

Almost immediately, public speculation that Petrino was on the move prompted the university to issue a release that said, in essence, the coach just wants to downsize. He also has a home for sale in Atlanta.
