United Builders General Contractors of Springdale recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.5 million.

The permit is for the construction of a 20,000-SF building for Cadillac of Northwest Arkansas, which will occupy a 2.3-acre lot at 2300 SE Moberly Lane in Bentonville.

The dealership is expected to open September 1.

David Slone, owner of Superior Automotive Group, will relocate his Cadillac dealership, Superior Cadillac, from its current location on North College in Fayetteville. That facility will be remodeled and the Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership will remain there.

Cadillac of NWA will join Mercedes-Benz of Northwest Arkansas (opened December 29 at 2400 SE Moberly) and BMW of Northwest Arkansas (scheduled opening April 1 at 2500 SE Moberly) in prototype facilities on Moberly Lane as Superior separates its luxury division of automobiles.

SUBHEAD: Casey’s On Deck

Williams Construction, Inc., of Springfield, Mo., is nearing completion of a 3,700-SF Casey’s General Store located at 3531 Old Missouri Road in Springdale.

Williams bought a building permit valued at $288,858 and began construction in early January.

Casey’s operates approximately 1,400 convenience stores in 19 states across the Midwest, with headquarters in Ankeny, Iowa. The Springdale location, scheduled to open in May, will be the second to open in Arkansas. Casey’s will open its first Arkansas location in Bella Vista in April.

Each location typically has six to eight gas pump islands, each one with four hoses.

Inside there will be 14 cooler doors and made-to-order food, including pizza, cake doughnuts and sub sandwiches.

The average cost to construct a new Casey’s location, including land acquisition, is approximately $2.2 million.

Casey’s has its own construction department and designs the stores internally.
