Kenneth Mourton Buys Vacant Fayetteville Building (Real Deals)
Kenneth R. Mourton, through his FJN LLC, recently purchased a two-story commercial building and an adjacent lot located at 3608 N. Steele Blvd. in Fayetteville.
Mourton signed the mortgage with United Distributing Co. LLC.
The 17,270-SF building, known as Kershner Business Center, sold for $1.15 million. It last appraised for $1.72 million.
Mourton bought it from Cradlerock Joint Venture LP of Newton Falls, Ohio. Cradlerock purchased the land from Kershner Properties LLC in May 2004 for $195,000.
It was built in 2005 and is currently vacant.

Five Row Houses
Brittenum Construction Co. of Fayetteville is nearing completion on five homes in west Fayetteville. Jon R. Brittenum Jr. is a principal of Brittenum Construction.
The five permits are valued at a combined $836,975.
The homes will be located at 540, 548, 556, 562 and 649 N. Longfellow Lane, near Rupple Road and the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville.
The three-bedroom homes are about 2,000 SF and are on 40-foot by 80-foot lots. Comparable homes built by Brittenum have listed between $160,800 and $173,000.
Amenities at Brittenum homes typically include granite countertops and backsplashes, stained cabinets, tiled wet areas, brick footings, sodded yards and front landscaping.
The homes are a free-standing “row” house design, with narrow but deep build outs and some yard on either side. Many in the neighborhood feature side patios. Footings are bricked and the siding is painted Hardi Panels.
Typical layouts include two-and-a-half bathrooms and two-car garages located in the alleyway.
Subcontractors include G&S Insulating of Springdale and The Potty House of Fayetteville. Brick is supplied by Acme Brick.

Donald Sims, Thomas Sims and Sharon Sims, through their DTS Brokerage & Development LLC recently purchased two building permits valued at a combined $664,351 for two single-family homes.
The homes will be located at 2848 and 2849 E. Picasso Place in Fayetteville.
Picasso Place intersects with Crossover/Arkansas Highway 265, north of the Candlewood subdivision.
Riggins Construction is also building several homes on the street.
