Deadline for Top-Producing Realtors List Announced
The deadline for Northwest Arkansas Realtors to submit their 2010 sales volume numbers to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal is Feb. 18.
The Business Journal annually ranks the top-producing real estate firms, agents and teams based on residential sales volume greater than $2 million. Separate lists for team sales and the largest real estate firms are included in the research.
The numbers are voluntarily submitted by the agents and confirmed by their brokers. The publication does not cull sales information from the multiple listing service.
For 2010, the Business Journal will require data to be submitted in an Excel spreadsheet. Template spreadsheet forms will be e-mailed to the Business Journal’s Realtor contacts by Jan. 11.
Handwritten submissions will not be accepted.
Last year 217 agents reported $1.06 billion in combined residential sales volume in Northwest Arkansas for calendar 2009. Nineteen different firms were ranked and reported a total of 1,101 agents that sold $1 million or more during the year.
In 2008, 229 agents reported $1.18 billion in combined residential sales in Northwest Arkansas, down from 304 agents on the list who had a combined $1.62 billion in sales volume during 2007.
The total number of firms for 2009 shrank from 25 to 19 the year prior, illustrating a trend in office consolidation and mergers. Brokers are asked to note any such activity in their submission.
The lists are a snapshot of an important facet of the economic conditions of Northwest Arkansas and are typically well-studied by Realtors, bankers and potential clients.
Realtors are encouraged to double-check their 2010 sales numbers with their brokers to ensure accuracy.
Brokers who have not received an official submission form by Jan. 11 should contact Worth Sparkman, editor, at (479) 725-0394, or [email protected]
