The Sustainability Consortium, co-directed by the University of Arkansas, added two new members in December.

Source 44 LLC, the world’s leading provider of supply chain sustainability data services, and the ecoinvent Centre, the world’s leading supplier of reliable and transparent life cycle inventory data, are the additions. According to its website, the Sustainability Consortium now has 68 members.

The UA’s partner in the consortium is Arizona State University, and its goal is to work collaboratively to build a scientific foundation that drives product sustainability innovation. Co-director Jon Johnson said in separate statements the new additions will further that effort.

Source 44 is based in Solana Beach, Calif., with offices in San Diego and Dallas. Johnson praised the company for groundbreaking work in the field of product sustainability, and said he looks forward to “leveraging their work for the benefit of all our members.”

The ecoinvent Centre is a Swiss-based group Johnson said will bring “a fresh perspective and valuable new ideas to the consortium.”
