In an effort to determine whether it needed a pediatric clinic in Benton County, Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas surveyed its patients via its website and through e-mail and Facebook campaigns.

The overwhelming response, according to marketing director Carole Masterson, boiled down to: “Yes, in Lowell.”

On Nov. 1, MANA’s Benton County clients got their wish – a new, 2,691-SF clinic that includes six patient rooms, a hearing screening room, nurses station and provider office. At least one pediatrician and one nurse practitioner are on duty daily, saving those patients a drive to MANA’s Washington County locations.

“We’re kind of meeting them in the middle and making it more convenient for them,” Dr. Brent Silvey said.

Silvey added the response has been positive, with doctors seeing 30 to 40 patients per day.

“We’re super-booked all the time,” he said.
