McB’s Packs Multiple Options Under One Roof

In their younger days, Craig McKee and Troy Blackston longed for a local sports bar that also served great food, and offered games, live music and more.

Now the two, with the help of a silent partner, are about to get their wish – in the form of McB’s at Pinncale Hills.

“This is somewhere we would’ve wanted to go,” McKee said while standing inside the 7,800-SF space that formerly served as the Rogers home of Fuddruckers. “We’re putting it all together here.

“This is something Benton County doesn’t have, and has never had.”

McB’s has a roomy feel despite a big, sturdy bar, darts room, and billiards and shuffleboard areas that outline the main section. Total seating is about 110, and there’s also a small space dedicated to four beer pong tables.

Some of the seating is on a raised stage-type area that will accommodate a DJ or live musical act on occasion. McKee said there will be Saturday night theme parties (Think: disco, 1980s, etc.) once a month.

McB’s will employ about 30 part- and full-time workers when it opens early this month. The menu will feature burgers, hot dogs, wings, and fresh sandwiches, as well as various cheese dips and salsas to be served with chips. Additional seasonal offerings will include chili and soups this fall and winter.

A dozen beers, including Blue Moon, Stella Artois and Guinness, will be kept on tap in addition to a wide array of bottled varieties and a full bar. The drinks menu will include $1 JELL-O shots and the Dirty McB, a shot of Jack Daniel’s and a Pabst Blue Ribbon for $4.

“We’re bringing the tailgate party to McB’s,” McKee said.

The walls are littered with 11 50-inch flatscreen TVs in addition to two larger projection screens in the center of the main floor. Programming will be sports-centric and include NFL Sunday Ticket, Ultimate Fighting Championship bouts and other pay-per-view events.

McB’s will be open 4 p.m.-midnight Monday-Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday. Saturday hours will be 11 a.m.-2 a.m., and Sunday will be noon “until the last game ends,” McKee said.
