UA Joins National Sustainable System
In September the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville announced its participation in the Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, a new effort meant to encourage sustainability in all aspects of higher education.
Administered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, almost 230 higher education institutions have registered as STARS participants. The program reports data related to a university’s sustainability performance. Criteria are accessible to anyone, and allows for internal comparisons and well as comparisons with similar institutions.
