Delta Group Electronics Spies Expansion

Remember the $728,000 land deal involving Delta Group Electronics Inc. we wrote about in late July?

Well, the groundbreaking ceremony for the electronic subcomponents builder’s new facility was held on the last day of August. Lots of numbers were tossed around, including a price tag of about $5 million and the possibility of as many as 75 new jobs over the next few years.

Much also was made of the fact the new facility will be about three times as big (36,000 SF) as the current site in Prairie Grove. One nugget that went unreported, however, is the fact president and CEO Harry Mueller hasn’t ruled out an even more aggressive expansion.

Mueller said an additional 2 acres at the new site gives DGE the option of increasing its footprint at a later date if production needs warrant such a move.
