Arvest Ballpark, home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, has been serving up great food and drinks throughout its three-year history. Now one of those delicious selections is receiving national recognition.

SI.com recently compiled its “Top 10 Minor League Ballpark Foods.” Oversized, appetite-enduing photos appeared on each page, along with a brief description of the entrée. Much to our delight, No. 8 on the list was the Northwest Arkansas Naturals’ own Funnel Dog ($3.50), which we’ve been told is available at the Cider Shack BBQ stand at every game.

SI.com’s description of a Funnel Dog goes like this: “this hybrid dinner/dessert combines two staples of ballpark food: funnel cakes and hot dogs. Funnel dogs incorporate the juiciness of a warm dog with the sweet taste of funnel cake lightly coated with powdered sugar.”

Others selections making the list included the “Triple Play,” a grilled triple stack of Pullman bread loaded down with smoke brisket and pulled pork, courtesy of the Reno Aces; the “Fifth Third Burger,” which includes five and one-third pound’s worth of burgers, chili and chips and salsa packed into a 1 pound hamburger bun, courtesy of the West Michigan Whitecaps; and BBQ Nachos courtesy of the Memphis Redbirds.
