Savers, which describes itself as a leader in the retail thrift industry, is setting up shop in Fort Smith.

Its third Arkansas location – two stores currently operate in Little Rock – is scheduled to open in late July at 7751 Rogers Ave., in a 33,016-SF space formerly home to Linens-N-Things. A company representative said a hiring fair is scheduled for May 25-27, with the idea of hiring about 50 employees.

Per its Web site, Savers’ mission is “providing our customers with the best selection and shopping experience of any thrift store in the world.”

The company operates more than 240 stores across the United States, Canada and Australia. It is based in Bellevue, Wash.
