Fort Smith Facility Launches Operations

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp. opened a manufacturing and distribution facility in Fort Smith in late April, and could employ up to 20 people within the next two years.
That’s according to spokesman Gordon Pealock, who said the bulk of the jobs will be in production of the company’s metal and roof wall panels. There also will be management, sales, and administrative staff on-site.
The 34,000-SF facility came with a $4 million price tag. It will provide customers throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and northern Louisiana with MSMC’s commercial, agricultural and residential products.
The company is headquartered in Louisville, Ky., and has 20 locations nationwide.Pealock said MSMC is privately held and does not release revenue figures.
