Crossland Set to Break Ground on $8M Cancer Center (Real Deals)
Crossland Constructon Co. of Rogers recently purchased a building permit valued at $8.1 million for the construction of the Benton County Cancer Center.
The two-story building, to be located at 5201 W. Redbud St. in Rogers, was designed by Core Architects of Rogers.
Quark LLC, which consists of a group of doctors that practice out of Highlands Oncology of Fayetteville, are the owners of the project. The group purchased two of Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute’s facilities through their partnership on June 13, 2008, for $7.8 million.
The building will be 56,758 SF, have a brick, glass and metal exterior, and is set for an April 2011 completion.
NEC Inc. of Rogers will perform the dirt work.
Moses Mechanical Inc. of Bentonville is the mechanical engineer.
King Electrical Contractors of Fayetteville is the electrical subcontractor.
B&L Drywall of Conway will provide the metal studwork and drywall finishing.
Freedom Fire Pro of Rogers, Miller Commercial Flooring of Springdale and RGC Glass of Fayetteville are all subcontractors on the project.

Motorola Add-on
Dallas-based Turner Construction recently purchased a building permit valued at $750,000 for an addition to be made on the Motorola Building at 1201 SE 28th St. in Rogers.
The 6,000-SF addition is scheduled to be completed by the second week of May.
Moses Mechanical Inc. of Bentonville is providing the plumbing and mechanical piping, Dyer Electric of Rogers will provide the electrical subcontracting. MSI Inc. of Rogers will provide drywall and finishing services.

Clear Stead
Douglas Alan and Christine Case recently purchased a home in Phase I of the Clear Creek subdivision in Johnson.
The Cases purchased the 6,011-SF home at 5778 Dornoch Dr. for $525,000 in January from Onewest Bank. The home, land and improvements last appraised for $1.08 million in 2008.
Amenities include a 16-foot by 30-foot heated swimming pool, stucco exterior and 175 feet of wrought iron fencing.
The home was built in 2006.
