Registration Begins For Annual Heart Walk

The American Heart Association is urging Northwest Arkansas residents to register for the annual heart walk to raise awareness about physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle.
The 2010 Northwest Arkansas Heart Walk will take place at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale on Saturday, April 10. Funds raised from the walk will support local medical research and educational programs for the American Heart Association. Participants can walk as part of a company team or form their own team with family and friends.
Over 2,000 walkers will participate in the non-competitive 1.5-mile trek. Dante Anderson, Vice President of International Business Systems Implementation for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is the 2010 chair.
Sponsors include Wal-Mart, Novartis, Johnson and Johnson, General Mills, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tyson Foods, Unilver/Promise, Ocean Spray and Fayetteville Athletic Club.
