Snafu Results in Red Faces

As a service to our Northwest Arkansas readers who might have some central Arkansas accounts, we offer you the correct phone number for Corey Bryant, who was recently added to Centennial Bank’s private banking staff: 501-603-3971.

The number that originally appeared in an advertisement in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette announcing Bryant’s new job was not, and we mean not, correct.

We won’t go into any detail, but the number led callers wanting to congratulate Bryant or do business with him to a commercial enterprise that had nothing to do with banking.

Bank spokesman Kyle Proctor said the mistake was corrected on subsequent ad placements. And he mused, “Of all the numbers it could possibly be … why not a residence?”
