Construction Begins on Macadoodles Site in Springdale

Macadoodles recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.12 million to construct a franchise liquor store at 838 N. 48th St. in Springdale.

Plans for the 14,000 SF store include beer and liquor markets, a wine cellar, cigar shop and wine tasting bar. The store will also include eight gas pumps under the Shell Oil Co. brand.

The 2.4-acre site was purchased for $1.07 million in August by TLJ Properties, the company that will own the Macadoodles franchise. Excavation work is under way at the site and the store is expected to open in March 2010. Tyler Austin is an officer of TLJ.

The project is being financed through a $2.8 million loan from Signature Bank of Arkansas.
