Arvest Apps

As Chambers shuffles its Benton County office, Arvest Bank moves to consolidate its Benton County operations into one community bank, but it’s also prepping to make a bigger splash in its Web presence.

We told you last November about an iPhone app developed by Firethorn that allows Arvest customers to interface with their accounts. The Firethorn app is a sort of template that many banks use (think the likes of Regions, Suntrust, Chase), but Arvest is getting its own customized version. This coincides with the launch of a Web page built for mobile browsing for those who are on BlackBerrys or other mobile devices that make normal Web viewing awkward.

The bank has another iPhone app in the approval process. This one is a branch and ATM locator to help customers find its 220 or so offices and about 320 ATMs.

Officials hope the apps and mobile site will be approved and available by mid-November.
