You might remember we told you about ‘Rockin’ with the Razorbacks’ back in September. It was touted then as Fayetteville’s answer to Little Rock’s RazorRock, a weeklong celebration of sorts that was held in advance of Arkansas’ season-opening victory over Missouri State at War Memorial Stadium.

‘Rockin’ with the Razorbacks’ was supposed to be held Oct. 9, the night before Arkansas whupped Auburn. The event eventually was canceled, though, with the University of Arkansas and the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce issuing separate, conflicting statements as to the reason.

Whatever the real reason, the two parties have kissed and made up, and ‘Rockin with the Razorbacks’ now has been scheduled for Nov. 6, the night before Arkansas plays host to South Carolina. Festivities will take place in the Center Court of the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

The rescheduled event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., and feature concessions, music by the Razorback Marching Band and appearances by UA coaches, athletes and spirit squads.

Just don’t expect to see Coach Bobby Petrino or any members of the football team there. If you’re wondering which coaches and players might be there, we’re betting on representatives from the UA’s basketball and gymnastics teams among others.
