Pro Football Hall-of-Famer Roger Staubach will be the keynote speaker at the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 networking luncheon, set for Aug. 24, 2010.

The publication annually honors 40 individuals under the age of 40 who were nominated as best in class by their peers in all industries.

Staubach played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1969 to 1979, starting at quarterback for the last eight seasons. He passed for more than 22,000 yards and threw 153 touchdowns during his career, which also included 20 rushing touchdowns.

Staubach went to the Pro Bowl six times and led Dallas to victories in Super Bowls VI and XII before being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. Staubach won the Heisman Trophy at Navy in 1963, then spent four years on active duty, including service in Vietnam, before starting his pro career.

The Staubach Co., a commercial real estate advisory company based in Addison, Texas, merged with Jones Lang LaSalle of Chicago in July of 2008. JLL is also a commercial real estate firm but had a global reach. Staubach is now executive chairman, Amercias, for JLL. The Staubach Co. had reported revenue of $414 million in 2006 and about 1,400 employees.
