According to msnbc.com, the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers area is one of three metro areas in the state that has moved out of the recession and into recovery.

Hot Springs and Little Rock-North Little Rock are also listed in the recovery category. The Adversity Index, created by msnbc.com and Moody’s Economy.com, measures the economic health of 381 metro areas in 50 states using data on jobs, manufacturing and housing.

Areas in the state that are still in the red include Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Memphis, Pine Bluff and Texarkana.
