Fayetteville will have Rockin’ with the Razorbacks.

At least that’s what we’ve heard.

RazorRock was touted as a week-long pep rally of sorts in advance of Arkansas’ season-opening victory over Missouri State in Little Rock. A slew of activities were held to generate excitement leading up to the game, and also serve as a potential boon to local businesses.

Rockin’ with the Razorbacks, we’re told by a source close to the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, will be a one-night event held at the Arkansas Music Pavilion, which is located in the parking lot of the Northwest Arkansas Mall. The festivities will be held Oct. 9, the night before Arkansas plays Auburn in Fayetteville.

We’re also told there won’t be an admission fee, but vendors will be selling food and beverages. Some type of musical performance is apparently in the works, too, as is a full-scale pep rally that will include the UA’s marching band and spirit squads.
