Mexican Restaurant Osegueras’ Doors Stay Shut

Wondering why the doors have been locked at Osegueras in Fayetteville’s Evelyn Hills shopping center, denying would-be patrons the pleasure of, say, an order of steak nachos and an ice-cold michelada?

r

We got the answer, or at least part of it, thanks to a recent telephone call. The caller was a very perturbed property manager who claimed the operator of the Fayetteville location — Osegueras also maintains restaurants in Rogers, Springdale and Elkins — owes more than $80,000 in unpaid rent and tenant-improvement work.

r

The caller also indicated legal options are being pursued in an attempt to claim the unpaid money. Flake & Kelley Commercial is the listing agency for the space, which is 2,700 SF and rents at $12.50 per SF.

r

Attempts to reach Tony Oseguera, who the caller said managed the Fayetteville location, were unsuccessful. An answering-machine message says the restaurant is “currently closed and undergoing some changes,” and that “a bigger and better location” in Fayetteville is coming soon.

In the meantime, we’ll have to go elsewhere for those nachos.
