Bikes, Blues and BBQ Adds Hot Rods Too

You’ve probably heard about the expansion of Fayetteville’s favorite motorcycle rally by now.

If not, it was announced late last month that this year’s Bikes, Blues and BBQ — to be held Sept. 24-26 — will include Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too, a new element aimed at appealing to classic car and hot rod enthusiasts. All Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too activities will be held at the Arkansas Music Pavilion, which is located in the parking lot of the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

What you might not have heard is the new event is a test run of sorts. While Bikes, Blues and BBQ has become a staple on Fayetteville’s fall calendar, there is so spring equivalent.

If the classic car and hot rod events generate enough additional attendees and revenue, however, they could eventually be given their own spring festival. At least that’s the word from both an event organizer and a city official.
