Crossland to Build New Siloam Springs High School (Real Deals)
Crossland Construction Co. was recently awarded a bid to construct a new high school for Siloam Springs for $31.8 million. The 298,000-SF school will be constructed on 55 acres in northeast Siloam Springs.
The new high school will feature controlled-access security to all doors and security cameras throughout the interior and exterior of the building. Classrooms will have multi-media capabilities.
The school will include a large multi-use media center, an auditorium and a television broadcast studio.
The new school will be open for enrollment in the fall of 2011.
The existing high school location on W. Jefferson Street will become a middle school housing seventh and eighth graders.
Hight-Jackson Associates is the architecture firm on the project. Subcontractors include Lightning Electric, Fayetteville Mechanical and Franklin and Son.
Enterprise Center Under Construction
ARTP Developers One LLC recently began construction on a $17 million multi-tenant building to be located in the Arkansas Research & Technology Park in Fayetteville.
The 65,000-SF Enterprise Center will be located across West Research Center Boulevard from the Innovation Center.
The space will be available for lease for technology companies and park clients with research needs. The building will be laboratory enabled. Interior space will be improved based on the needs of each tenant.
The estimated construction cost will vary depending on tenant improvements. The core and shell of the building are expected to be completed in January 2010.
ARTP Developers One is a partnership between IDEA Partnerships, based in Great Falls, Va. and Philadelphia, Penn., and Clayco Realty Group of St. Louis.
Talamore Home Trades Hands
Brian and Martha Cornell recently purchased a home in the Talamore Subdivision of Bentonville for $1.5 million.
The home at 11229 Talamore Blvd. was purchased from David and Charlyn Porter, who purchased the land in 2002 for $90,000.
The 6,825-SF home was built in 2006 and sits on 3.98 acres. It includes a pool and a 730-SF poolhouse.
Murphy Oil USA Buys Car Wash
Murphy Oil USA Inc. of El Dorado recently purchased the Spot-Not Car Wash on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville for $985,000.
The car wash at 3189 W. Wedington Dr. was purchased from Pard Car Washes Inc. of Springdale, which purchased the property in 1993 for $155,000.
The 4,432-SF car wash was built in 1993.
