Springdale’s Toter Industries recently held ribbon-cutting ceremonies at its new manufacturing facility, and Carter Bergdorf said the company has expanded on its original plan.

That means TI is manufacturing not just its Spa Toter and Stage Toter lines, but portable dog washes, waste containers and mobile cement silos among other products. Perhaps the biggest news coming out of TI recently, however, is centered on its Stage Toter line.

Bergdorf said TI has reached an agreement with Lucas Oil to build one of its portable stages for the company’s Off Road Racing Series. The deal was reached after TI owner Mike Graham spent a few weeks promoting his product and helping set up stages for the Lucas Oil television team.

Jay Pearson offered a couple of reasons when asked why Lucas Oil chose the TI product.

“For one, the stage they’ve come up with is pretty handy compared to everything else out there. Literally, from setting it up to taking it down, one guy can do it on his own,” said Pearson, who added one man can set up the stage in about 40 minutes. “It doesn’t take a lot of muscle or manpower.

Bergdorf said TI maintains a staff of 10 to 15 employees.
