NWA Restaurants Try, Try Again

In good times or bad, the restaurant business is in a state of constant flux.

For every place that shuts down for lack of business (or for not paying its taxes), there are usually plenty of restaurateurs waiting in line to give it their best shot.

The former home to Oseguera’s on North College Avenue in Fayetteville was torn down to make way for a new Andy’s Custard store opening soon — joining Maggie Moo’s and Shake’s as frozen treat destinations along the city’s main drag.

Another abandoned restaurant building, the former Lonestar Steakhouse in Springdale, will reopen as yet another Mexican joint in a city with no shortage of them.

TaMolly’s, a Tex-Mex chain out of Texarkana, Texas, just opened on 48th Street in Springdale.

The former home of Sassafras and most recently LouLou’s Fish Shack (closed after failing to keep up with the electric bill) also will soon have a new occupant under the name Sassy’s.
