In our last issue, we told you Springdale would be home to Northwest Arkansas’ Tax Day Tea Party as part of a coordinated national effort to protest wasteful government spending.

The party is moving south.

Updates on the Springdale Tea Party Facebook group show the gathering has been consolidated and moved to the downtown Fayetteville Square.

The gathering will be from 4-7:30 p.m. on April 15. A Rogers Tea Party is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the downtown Frisco Stage.

Protests are also scheduled for Ozarks, Mountain Home, Paragould, Little Rock, El Dorado and Monticello.

According to the DontGo Movement, one of the tea party organizers, more than 300 gatherings are planned across the country and are expected to draw more than 150,000 people.
