The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal on Feb. 24 honored 15 young professionals featured in the inaugural Fast 15 issue.

The event, held at James at the Mill, was sponsored by Computer Hut and Microsoft, and attended by all 15 honorees and their guests.

In total, about 120 people attended the event, which featured cocktails and appetizers.

Kay Palmer, executive vice president and chief technology officer of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. was the guest speaker at the event.

Each honoree received Microsoft Office Small Business software.

Jeff Wood, publisher of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, said the event would not have been possible without the partnerships with Microsoft and Computer Hut.

“It was an incredible night of networking with a group of break-out professionals who are game changers in Northwest Arkansas and globally for their companies and industries,” he said. “Kay Palmer shared some great advice for staying on the path to success.”

The first class of Fast 15 honorees were selected by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal editorial staff from about 100 nominations.

To be eligible, individuals had to be within 10 years of completing their formal education and have proven to their employers and peers they are on the fast track to success.
