Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 15 Young Pros on the Fast Track

We are please to present the very first class of Fast 15 honorees.

For the past 12 years, the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal has used the 40 Under 40 issue to introduce the business community to young business and professional leaders, and we will again in August.

(To view a list of the top young professionals organizations in Northwest Arkansas, click here.)

But the editors wanted to try something a little different in 2009. We focused on a younger class – people who are for the most part starting their careers. To be eligiable, individuals had to be within 10 years of completing their formal education and have proven to their employers and peers they are on the fast track to success.

These 15 young professionals come from all walks, with representatives working in the supplier community, at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Tyson Foods Inc., the University of Arkansas and as entrepreneurs. Both the average age and the median age of this class is 28 and half of them work in Fayetteville.

The men and women you see profiled in these pages were selected by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal editorial staff from around one hundred nominations. We make no claim that these are “the most” impressive or “the most” promising young leaders in Northwest Arkansas, but we think their accomplishments are worthy and their futures bright.

We hope you enjoy getting to know every one of these fine young people – we certainly have.
