UA?s Alpha Omicron Pi House Set for January Open

Construction of the Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity house on the University of Arkansas campus is nearing completion. The project’s total construction is valued at $5.8 million and began in the third quarter of 2007.
The four-story, 24,400-SF building is being constructed on state-owned land at 712 W. Maple St., but is paid for by the fraternity.
The building is scheduled for a January opening.
The general contactor is Nabolz Construction.
Allison Architects of Little Rock is the architect and EB Landwords Inc. of Fayetteville is the civil engineer and landscape architect.
TME Inc. of Fayetteville is performing the electromechanical and plumbing work and Engineering Consultants Inc. of Lowell is the structural engineer.
The exterior of the building will have a neo Georgian look and blend in well with other buildings on campus.
The project will have capacity for about 86 beds, and is being built to LEED Silver specs, though the Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity may choose to not seek LEED certification.
