Doughertys Named Naturals? Doctors

Drs. John and Chris Dougherty of The Agility Center in Bentonville have been named the official team doctors of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
The Naturals are the minor league, Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and will begin play at Springdale’s Arvest Ballpark on April 10.
The Doughertys’ orthopedic practice in Bentonville, which they moved to the area from Missouri in 2006, was ranked No. 1 in Northwest Arkansas by healthgrades.com and the brothers have received approval to conduct the first sports medicine fellowship in Arkansas.
John Dougherty, who is attending spring training with the Royals in Arizona, has some previous experience working with USA Baseball and Chris Dougherty is the only surgeon in the area who performs Tommy John’s surgery. Tommy John’s is the elbow reconstruction procedure that resurrected the major league pitching career of its namesake and has benefited hundreds of players since.
The Doughertys are also the team doctors for the University of Arkansas Lady Razorbacks and serve some of the Razorback squads as well.
