A slowing economy and imploding housing market did little to hinder the Northwest Arkansas commercial construction industry in 2007.
The 11 ranked commercial contractors on the Business Journal’s annual list of largest contractors saw a 66 percent increase in revenue from 2006 to 2007.
The contractors completed more than $362 million in commercial construction in 2007, compared to $217 million in 2006.
The Flintco Companies Inc. took the top spot on this year’s list with $83 million in revenue generated by the company’s Northwest Arkansas office.
Two companies, Crossland Construction Co. and Nabholz Construction Corp., which recorded revenues of $412 million and $433 million respectively, were not ranked because they could not provide revenue generated only by their Northwest Arkansas offices.
