Costs High for Camo (Whispers)

Wayne’s Wicked Enterprises Inc., which is featured on this issue’s cover, had to invent its own camouflage in addition to its new line of products.

That’s because the royalties for use of existing popular camos, such as the phenomenally popular Mossy Oak brand, would add an additional cost of $5 per unit (maybe more).

Wayne Woolsey, Wayne’s Wicked’s president, got some help coming up with what he calls “a more vibrant pattern” that will be known as Wayne’s Camo.

Wayne’s Camo is more of a break-up pattern for humans, Woolsey said. But although it will be noticeable to other hunters, and therefore potentially more marketable, it will still be undetectable by animals.
