Signed Sealed Delivered Earns ARTS Nomination
Rogers home accent store Signed Sealed Delivered has picked up a nomination for the equivalent of an Academy Award in its industry from the Dallas Market Center and the Accessory Resource Team.
“It’s the highest award you can receive as a gift shop,” said SSD owner Dana Washburn of the 19th ARTS Awards to be handed out Jan. 19 in Dallas. “It would be like Tom Cruise winning an Oscar.”
Washburn said SSD is the first store ever nominated in Arkansas, not to mention the first in the entire region from Texas to Alabama. Washburn has been in business for 10 years in Northwest Arkansas and moved from Bentonville to Rogers a year ago.
SSD is nearing its first anniversary on 52nd Street. The business has grown from 2,400 SF and five employees to 10,000 SF and 13 employees.
Becoming one of the three finalists for the Midwest/Southwest region requires 20 nominations from vendors. SSD received more than 90 and Washburn said the service level at SSD sets it apart.
“We react to our customers’ needs and wants,” she said. “We are the place to come for front porch décor or a table centerpiece. We have become a destination.”
Washburn said SSD is best known for its custom silk floral arrangements and praised her design team for the nomination.
“I certainly can’t take the credit,” Washburn said.
