Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. of Irving, Texas, which owns KNWA-TV, Channel 51 in Fayetteville and KARK-TV, Channel 4 in Little Rock, said it would suspend talks with prospective buyers.
The company announced in May that it would review “strategic alternatives” including, but not limited to the sale of the company. On Aug. 3, the company said that it would suspend discussions with prospective acquirers “in light of the difficult conditions in the financing markets.”
Nexstar did not elaborate. It said it would not comment further.
