South Korea Has Beef With Tyson

After a second shipment of unapproved beef arrived on June 2 in South Korea, the country has banned imports from two more Tyson Foods Inc. plants in the U.S.
In April, South Korea received its first shipments of U.S. beef since 2003 after banning it following the discovery of mad cow disease.
South Korea will only accept beef from cattle less than 30 months old and free of bones. Customers Am-Mex and Midamar Corp. exported two separate shipments intended for domestic consumption without the knowledge of Tyson, the USDA said in a statement on June 19.
South Korea has banned imports from four Tyson plants and two Cargill plants. Cargill also had beef intended for domestic use mistakenly shipped to South Korea.
