The annual Barbeque at Beau Terre Office Park drew about 250 vendors on May 11 and was the first hosted by Colliers Dickson Flake Partners, the new managers of Northwest Arkansas’ original vendor park.
The firm took over management of Beau Terre on April 1 and has already added a new tenant, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, to the 370,071-SF, 36-building complex in Bentonville. The park is 85 percent occupied and home to supplier teams from companies like Timex, Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, Del Monte and Dell.
Brenda Swango, a managing partner at the River Grille Steakhouse along with Jim Curd, helped host the event with the food provided by Dink’s Pit Bar-B-Que of Bartlesville, Okla.
The River Grille, located directly across the street from Beau Terre, is joined at the hip with the supplier community given the walking distance from the office park and the Courtyard by Marriott next door.
Swango has been with the River Grille for all seven of its years in business but it was her first time to help host the barbeque.
“We’re excited to have someone from the community who knows what the office park needs,” Swango said. “It’s good for the hotel and [Beau Terre] has to draw for us to be successful.
