Mellow Mushroom Sprouting in Fayetteville

Those who have traveled to Atlanta or just about any campus around the Southeastern Conference may be familiar with Mellow Mushroom, a gourmet pizza parlor famous for its white crust pizza and eclectic atmosphere.
Fayetteville will finally land one at the Bellafont project on Joyce Blvd. and Vantage Drive in late summer or early fall depending on when The Barber Group completes the building.
Mellow Mushroom will move into a stand-alone, 4,000-SF home as early as June and will need three months to add the finishing touches. The restaurant will employ 20-30 people and will also have 1,500 SF to 2,000 SF of patio space under a large oak tree currently at the site.
The company has 85 locations in 12 states. The Bellafont franchise will be the first in Arkansas.
Only Oxford and Starkville, homes to Ole Miss and Mississippi State, will remain as SEC campus towns without a Mellow Mushroom.
