KUAF-FM, 91.3 will be hosting a StoryCorps mobile booth from March 8 through March 31.
StoryCorps is an oral history project founded by David Isay in 2003.
StoryCorps “wishes to celebrate our shared humanity and collective identity through not just the archived recordings of our stories, but through the act of interviewing loved ones and listening,” according to a press release.
The mobile booth will be parked at the Walton Arts Center parking lot in Fayetteville and the pubic can schedule a recording session at storycorps.net. The recordings are archived in the Library of Congress and selections from local interviews will be aired on KUAF.
Leigh Wood, membership director, at KUAF said former U.S. Sen. David Pryor is scheduled to be the first participant in Fayetteville, though she wasn’t sure who will be conducting the interview with him.
