Price Tag on Bancorp Land Buy Disclosed

Loyal Whispers readers may remember an item in our Dec. 4 issue about BancorpSouth Bank purchasing 2.4 acres for a branch office in MetroPark, a large-scale development on the north side of Pinnacle Hills owned by Haynes Ltd. of Rogers.
At the time, a purchase price was not disclosed. But according to public records, the deal for Lot 9 of MetroPark North was for $1.85 million. The seller was listed as Metro Park Tower LLC, of which Collins and Hunter Haynes are sole members.
Bancorp is chartered out of Tupelo, Miss., and had $11.8 billion in assets as of June 30.
