Smokehouse Switcheroo

Boyce Billingsley Amini and Dario Amini bought Ozark Mountain Smokehouse in Bentonville this past summer with the idea of converting the 1,000-SF house on the property into a restaurant.
Since it wouldn’t be cost effective to build a restaurant in or around a house that Dario Amini believes was built around 1904, he decided to do renovations and rent it out as an event center for weddings, birthdays and corporate parties.
There are several other buildings and a hidden spring on the 7-acre farmstead, which has plenty of space for tents or whatever would be needed for larger events.
So far, a Halloween party, a grand opening party and a small dinner party have been held on the property. Dario Amini said there already has been interest for events in the spring as well. The half-day rate is $500.
It’s become a joint venture with Eventures Party Rentals of Fayetteville, which set up an office on the property and is handling all the planning and supplies for events.
