St. Mary?s Ball Nets Funds

A net profit of $435,000 was raised at the 13th Annual St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation charity ball and auction on Dec. 2.
The money from pledges, donation and auctioned items will benefit future projects and fund charity care at the not-for-profit Rogers hospital. It more than doubled the $215,000 raised during the 2005 event. In 2004, the ball brought in $185,000.
This year’s ball, which was held at the Hammons Convention Center in Rogers, had more than 1,300 in attendance, including governor-elect Mike Beebe and Congressman John Boozman.
Top sponsors for the event were Linda and Lee Scott, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Ladonna and Cliff Hays and family, Scott Paper, Tyson Foods Inc. and the Sisters of Mercy Health Systems among others.
