Wild Thing Hits NBC

After more than six years on AETN and countless years on Comcast, Steve “Wildman” Wilson is finally making the jump to commercial television.
The longtime outdoorsman’s show, “Talkin’ Outdoors,” will debut Jan. 6 on NBC affiliate KNWA-TV, Channels 24/51 and Little Rock sister station KARK-TV, Channel 4. The 30-minute show will air every Saturday at 9 a.m. Nexstar Broadcasting Inc. of Irving, Texas owns both stations.
“It’ll definitely open up some new possibilities that we haven’t had before,” said Rob Thomas, creative services director at KARK. “That’s a great time slot for an outdoors show.”
Thomas said a third station, Fox affiliate KFTA-TV, Channel 24, in Fort Smith, was also close to signing a deal to air the show.
