From the sheriff’s report in the Madison County Record of Huntsville:
“July 25 — A caller to 911 stated that her husband had done some work on a vehicle and that the owner was towing it off without having paid for the work.
“The owner of the vehicle called back eight minutes later and advised that the man that had done the work on his car was shooting at him. He said that the chain he was using to tow the vehicle had broke and that he was at the end of Madison [County Road] 1536. He advised that no one had been shot.”
