Milver Investments LLC of Fayetteville is awaiting approval from the city to develop the property located on the corner of Prairie and West streets in south Fayetteville. Burt Box is the president of Milver, and bought the property for $580,000. It comprises more than 1.5 acres and was formerly used by the American Milling Co.

Plans are to construct a “mixed-use” building that will be used for retail space and 17 condominiums, Box said.

In addition, a preliminary schematic design has been drawn up by Polk Stanley Rowland Curzon Porter Architects Ltd. of Fayetteville that could add three condos to the top of a building on the southwest corner of the square. The building located on South Block Avenue used to be occupied by the law firm Kincaid Horne & Daniels, but the only current tenant is the retail store Bath Junkie.

Patrick Harris, an agent with Clark Long & Associates in Fayetteville, is the principal of the building, and his company is listing the nearly 5,000-SF building for $1.29 million. Ideally, Harris said the property would be purchased before the condos are built.

Kincaid Horne & Daniels relocated due to the “high prices” of real estate in downtown Fayetteville, David Horne said. Horne moved into a building he owned on Center Street, while Shawn Daniels is now in an office on Sunbridge Drive. Hugh Kincaid is retired.
