Chili?s Restaurant Planned For Springdale Location

Brinker International will open a Chili’s Bar & Grill in Springdale next year.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin in November and should be finished in April or May, said Stacey Calbert, Brinker’s public relations manager.

The 6,000-SF restaurant will seat 220 guests and will have 100 to 120 employees, she said via e-mail.

It will be located at the corner of 40th Street and U.S. Highway 412.

Chili’s is famous for its grilled baby back ribs, among other items.

The restaurant will be corporate owned. Chili’s has two other locations in the area — in Fayetteville and Rogers — along with one in Fort Smith.

The Fayetteville Chili’s had $1.39 million in food, beer and wine sales for the first six months of fiscal 2006 (December through May), according to the city’s tax records. For 2005, Chili’s had $2.85 million in sales.
