Revenue Jumps 12 Percent At Fort Smith’s Top 5 Hotels

Fort Smith’s top five hotels had an average increase of 12.1 percent in room revenue last year.

For 2005, the top five had $12.1 million in combined revenue, compared to $10.8 million in 2004.

Still leading the way, as it did last year, the Hampton Inn had $4.08 million in revenue.

Coming in at No. 2 and No. 3 was Holiday Inn City Center with $3.53 million and Residence Inn by Marriott with $1.67 million, respectively.

All top hotels had increases in revenue. Comfort Inn had the biggest percentage increase with 35 percent. The hotel had $1.56 million in revenue last year, up from $1.15 million in 2004.

That moved it up from the No. 5 spot last year to No. 4, bumping the Holiday Inn Express down to No. 5 with $1.29 million in revenue last year, a 9.9 percent increase over 2004’s $1.17 million.

For the first five months this year, the top five have stayed in the same spots. Revenue, compared to last year during the same period, was up 7.4 percent to $5.25 million compared with $4.89 million last year.
