Frank Sharp, owner of Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, is working on a partnership deal with longtime friend and developer Tom Bourdeaux of Portland, Maine.

Bourdeaux, who is part owner of the Mill District and the Doc Murdock building in Fayetteville, would be the majority owner after the deal is finalized, Sharp said.

“I’ve been working for four or five years figuring out how to slowly back out of [the Smokehouse] … nothing felt right until Tom,” Sharp said about finding a partner to help with the business.

Sharp said after the new ownership takes over, he will focus on adding a store in front of the Farmington Smokehouse location and also update the mail-order software for the company’s products.

Sharp has Smokehouse restaurants and stores in Fayetteville, Farmington and Fort Smith, and three manager-owned locations in Russellville, Harrison and Branson.

From December to May, the Fayetteville Smokehouse had $69,233 in food sales, according to the city’s tax records.
